The movie “Armageddon” is about a crew of oil drillers, led by Harry Stamper (Bruce Willis), who are recruited to destroy a killer asteroid headed for earth. Their plan is to land on the asteroid, drill a hole to it’s core, and implant a nuclear warhead into it. It would then be detonated after they return to earth. One of Harry’s crew members, A. J. Frost (Ben Affleck), proposes to Harry’s daughter and plans to marry her after the crew returns from their mission. Harry does not endorse their relationship, and this causes tension during the mission, as the crew endures many setbacks. |
