nventor named Flint Lockwood (Bill Hader) wants to create something to improve the lives of the people in his town. He creates a machine that goes up into the clouds and turns water into food that falls from the sky upon request, but it soon goes out of control when the food becomes too big. Sam Sparks(Anna Faris) is the local weathergirl who covers the story of food falling from the sky. She is smarter than she lets on and she ends up helping Flint.
